September Public Meeting

The Spring Quarterly (#3) meeting was held on September 22^nd and was well attended. Our guest speakers were Brenda Hoskins, the Whanganui District Council Older Person Housing manager and Warwick Bullen who presented personal alarm devices. Council has 275 Older persons housing units and Brenda outlined her role, described the units’ history, updates on pets and application criteria. Warwick was able to demonstrate the personal alarm device and how it might actually be free if you meet the MSD application criteria. We have spare pamphlets of that device and how it works.
